I have a deeply rooted interested in Tasawwuf, although, at the moment, I don't feel I have the capacity to progress. One of the reasons for wanting to get married is to reach the goal which very few people have reached....fahmi fahm...he who understood me, understood....I feel that a pious spouse would give me that strength. As for my other interests, one of them includes learning. I am currently studying the traditional Islamic scholar course...the dars-e-nizami. I haven't studied for a degree....yet...I went into University but I couldn't continue with something I know I could never do as a career and something which was completely uninteresting. I need to be captivated. I would like to do something because it stimulates me, not because of the salary it offers at the end. Maybe I will go into Medicine or architecture...or even film making... In addition, I enjoy learning languages and am learning French and Spanish. This stems from my love of other countries, different cultures and my love of travelling. Morocco has a had a strong hold over me for the past few years. It is a land of awliya and saliheen. But the real reason it has gripped me is that my sheikh is residing there. I am also attracted to the Indian subcontinent and the Far-East. So, it can be safe to say that there will be plenty of excitement and travelling after marriage...you won't be bored, that is guaranteed! :) As for my financial situation, I am in the process of starting my own importing company and a few creases need ironing out. Insha Allah, by June/July, everything will be in place. I have never been a 9-5 kind of person. I can't do it. I have never been able to understand how people could spend 40-50 years of their lives in a depressing office. If I was to stay in one of these jobs, I would die...my body would be carried out and a cop would ask: "what happened?" and the other would say: "Looks like he died of boredom, Chief, see the way his mouth is open and his eyes are rolled back into his head...?" I have always wanted to do something that would give me the freedom to do whatever I pleased, the freedom to go to any country, to drive anywhere, do anything without having to worry about getting up for work the next day. Sounds like I'm dreaming doesn't it? I enjoy sports; cricket is my game of choice. In fact, I am quite patriotic and have a soft spot for Pakistan. It's okay...I am not a complete nutcase...;)
